Kinch is a young, exciting
5-piece band from Leeds. Aged only 18 and just signed to Halo UK,
their unusual but genuinely commercial mix of pop melodies and funky
grooves marks them out from other young bands. Wherever they play,
their radio-friendly songs and high-energy live performances win
respect, new fans and repeat bookings.
"The best band
we’ve had here –bar none." - Phil, Owner, Bar Coco, Leeds
gigs:
Kinch have so far notched
up over 100 gigs throughout the country, won various "Battle of the
Bands" competitions including Leeds Bright Young Things 2008
(previous winners include Corrine Bailey Rae and The Music). They
have played on the pitch at Headingley Stadium and at festivals in
the UK, Ireland and France.
Recent appearances at the
Cockpit, Faversham and Wardrobe in Leeds and venues like the Cavern
in Liverpool continue to bolster their reputation as a fine,
up-and-coming band.
"A
great band. Really, really talented musicians who play with a lot of
heart and soul. Great for festivals."
