Home Up

Vanilla Moon started out in April of 2005, and ever since, time has flew by. The band was put together by guitarists Mitch Laddie and Richard Barnes leaning towards blues and blues-rock. Close friends Lee Clifford and Rhian Wilkinson were soon to become the second half of VM. As time and practise progressed, the band saw songs like ZZ Top's "Sharp Dressed Man" and Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Pride and Joy" being spawned into to the setlist. Also, other band's such as: Free and Kings Of Leon. Then followed the band's original material such as: "I'm Goin' Down" and the Richard Barnes tranquil "Jazz Mop." So song after song were practised till tight and before we knew it, we had a 20 song setlist.

The band's first gig was at the Thimbleberry Music Festival in September of 2005, and it was a great pleasure to play at the festival and on the same stage as Tony McPhee. So as the band played more gigs and boosted their confidence the set reached to about 30 songs and is getting bigger. The band  is roaring through 2006 with gigs booked up till September. The entire band is looking forward to playing Thimbleberry again.
