The Moot formed in Scotland in summer 2005 with Clare on vocals and guitar and Eryl on Drums. They moved to Huddersfield in Sep 2006 and have played some gigs around Huddersfield and Leeds.

Clare and Eryl have recently been joined by Chris on Bass and Martin on Guitar and Darabooka. Chris and Martin are also busy musicians themselves, so sometimes the line-up at gigs can vary from just 2 members to the full line-up. Whatever the line-up, the music is still played with passion and energy.

The Moots music is reggae based but also has many other influences such as jamming, funk, ska and world music.

The Moot host a weekly jam night @ Bar Amour, 33 Zetland St, Huddersfield every Tuesday from 7.30pm. PA, drums and guitar backline provided.
